Boil 400 ml of water. Pour the content of the tray in to a heat-resistant vessel, add salt according to taste and 4 tablespoons of oil of your choice or 30 g of (lactose free) butter. Pour the boiled water on this mix and stir. Put it under cover and let it stand for approx. 5 minutes. Loosen up then the texture of the Cous Cous with the help of a fork, and it is ready to serve.
You can crank up the food with grilled chicken meat, with barbecued spare ribs, or with smoked ham. If prepared as a salad or served as a side dish you can add a tablespoonful of honey and the juice of half a lemon.
